You know the moment when the demo works, but production will not? That is where this role lives.

At Brillian, we build AI solutions in a consulting environment. The work is client-facing and delivery-focused. We help teams make the right technical calls early and then implement them in a way that is secure, observable, and maintainable.

We are continuously looking to meet AI Architects who can lead technical direction and still work hands-on with code when needed. We do not always have a matching project starting immediately, but when the fit is right, we stay in close contact and move quickly when something clicks!

What our projects typically look like

Most projects are about the system, not a single model choice. You will design the architecture and you will also build the critical parts that set the standard for the team.

Depending on the client and the stage, you might:

  • Turn an unclear goal into a technical approach that can be delivered and operated

  • Define the first version of the architecture and implement reference code that proves the direction

  • Build cloud foundations with sane defaults for security, logging, monitoring, and cost controls

  • Set patterns for integrations, APIs, and data flows so the solution fits the client environment

  • Build LLM and ML components when they are the right tool, such as retrieval-based search, extraction, and workflow automation

  • Define evaluation and monitoring so quality, latency, and cost are visible and can be improved

  • Pair with engineers to unblock delivery and review critical code paths

  • Support early phases like scoping, feasibility checks, and clear technical communication to stakeholders

What we value

  • You design for operability from day one, including security, monitoring, and cost

  • You stay pragmatic and you prefer patterns teams can own

  • You are comfortable switching between client discussions and building

  • You take responsibility for outcomes, not only architecture descriptions

And yes, practically speaking, experience in these areas helps a lot:

  • Cloud architecture on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, networking, and containers

  • DevOps practices such as IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident readiness

  • Strong software engineering habits and comfort working in code, typically Python and often also TypeScript

  • Data foundations such as pipelines, transformations, quality checks, and access boundaries

  • Practical experience building LLM-powered features, especially retrieval, evaluation, and observability

Bonus: you have built reusable templates, starter kits, or reference architectures that help teams deliver faster with consistent quality.
